Arsenal hosts Crystal Palace
Arsenal hosts Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium in a game from the 10th round of the Premier League. The Gunners will try to get back on their winning ways after the defeat they conceded against Sheffield United at the Bramall Lane on Monday. It was their second loss for the season.
During the week the Gunners had a positive experience, though, securing a 3-2 win during their home game against Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes. This win came much more difficult than we actually expected, because Arsenal scored their third and winning goal in the 92th minute of the match. It was Nicolas Pepe who scored the winner. For him it was a second goal in the game with Martinelli scoring the first one.
Clearly Unai Emery has a lot of work to do with Arsenal. This is just his second season at the club, so he’s not quite done with building a new project. The loss against Sheffield United on Monday didn’t improve his reputation, though.
On Sunday Arsenal must chase the win at any cost. Because of the defeat in Sheffield, the Gunners are already out of the Top 4. They are currently on two points behind the 4th Chelsea and the 3rd Leicester City.
Crystal Palace are doing incredibly well since the start of the season, currently being 6th in the standings with 14 points won. Roy Hodgson’s boys will make an effort to bounce back after the home defeat they suffered against Manchester City last week. Palace tried to fight as much as they can against the champions, but City won it with 2-0 after two quick goals in the first half.
We believe that Arsenal will make a strong effort to get back on the winning way against Crystal Palace in this London derby at the Emirates. If they want to finish in the Top 4 this season, the Europa League finalists must do as good as they can in home matches like this one.
