Arsenal – Wolverhampton Wanderers
Arsenal hosts Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates on Sunday in a match from the 10th round of the Premier League. Let’s see what’s the current situation with these two teams at the moment, shall we?
Arsenal are surely needing an improvement of their results and league position at the moment. Right now the Gunners are 12th in the league with 13 points and getting back into the Top 10 is a must for them. Mikel Arteta’s team won just one of its last five matches in the Premier League and this is absolutely unacceptable for a club with Arsenal’s ambitions.
Last weekend the Gunners made their first draw for the season. Arsenal paid a visit to Leeds United at the Elland Road and only got a point after 0-0 versus the Peacocks. Arsenal played more than 40 minutes with 10 men on the pitch because Nicolas Pepe got sent off just after the halftime break. He won’t be avaliable for Sunday as he’s suspended now.
During the week Arsenal faced Molde in Europa League and achieved a solid 3-0 win on Norwegian soil. It was a good win.
Wolverhampton Wanderers approach the 10th round from 9th place in the table. Wolves are having 14 points won so far and they are another good team which could make some improvement in near future.
Last weekend Nuno Santo’s team also shared the points. Wolves hosted Southampton at the Molineux, but they only got a point with a 1-1 draw. Pedro Neto’s goal wasn’t enough for the three points.
That’s our preview for the Premier League clash between Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates. Both teams are very good, but both teams are kind of shaky since the beginning of the 2020/21 season. This is a chance for them to show a better face and get points they really need.
