Inter Milan – Torino
Inter Milan hosts Torino at the Stadio San Siro in a fixture from the 8th round of the Serie A. What’s interesting about this game?
Inter Milan probably didn’t start the new campaign in the way they would have prefer. At this moment the Nerazzurri are 7th in the standings with 12 points, but they are just 5 points behind the leader AC Milan – it’s not some impossible gap to reduce. The problem is Antonio Conte can’t force his players into consistency – Inter won only one of the club’s last five matches in the Calcio.
Before the international break the Nerazzurri made their third draw for the season. Inter had a very tough game against Atalanta away from home. The match at the Gewiss Stadium ended 1-1. Lautaro Martinez scored the first one for the visitors, but La Dea equalised just 11 minutes before the final.
Against Atalanta Antonio Conte made some strange decisions. He decided to put Romelu Lukaku, Achraf Hakimi and Ivan Perisic on the bench, although all three of them entered the pitch after the break.
For a second consecutive season Torino are a sad shadow of themselves. Right now the Bulls are dangerously close to the relegation zone being 17th with 5 points won. Torino have won just one game since the beginning of the season.
Time is running out for Torino’s head coach Marco Giampaolo. The tactician is very closed to the sack and he could be going if the Bulls suffered another defeat.
That’s our preview for the Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Torino at the San Siro. For Inter this is a great opportunity to score a win against a team which performs badly in the league at the moment. The Nerazzurri need to start winning on a regular basis and this match is a great chance to start doing it.
