Levante – Real Madrid

Levante faces Real Madrid at the Estadio de la Ceramica in Valencia in a match from the 5th round of La Liga. The current champions will try to record a third consecutive win in the league after their success against Real Betis and Real Valladolid.

Levante on the other hand kicked off their season with two defeats in the first three rounds. They still managed to take a win against Osasuna in Pamplona, though. At this moment the club from Valencia stands 13th in the league with 3 points.

In the previous round Levante had a very tough visit to Europa League champions Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Paco Lopez’ team was actually minutes away from winning a point, but Youssef En-Nesyri scored a winning goal for Los Rojiblancos in the 92th minute. It was a heartbreaking affair for Levante.

Real Madrid scored just once against Real Valladolid in the weekend, but it was enough for the champions to take a 1-0 win. The young Brazilian prodigy Vinicius Jr. replaced Luka Jovic in the 58th minute and just seven minutes later he scored the winning goal in the game. It was Vinicius first goal for the new season and it was a really important one.

Real Madrid are still unlucky when it comes to Eden Hazard’s fitness. The Belgian star is plagued by injuries since he arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu from Chelsea. The truth is Hazard still can’t make a strong impression with the white shirt. It’s dissapointing for Real Madrid’s fans because the Belgian is a wonderful player.

That’s our preview for the La Liga fixture between Levante and Real Madrid on Sunday. The champions won their last two matches and they are the favourites here, but it’s always difficult against Levante in Valencia. Let’s see what these two teams are going to offer us.
