Manchester United – Arsenal
Manchester United hosts Arsenal at the Old Trafford in a match from the 7th round of the Premier League. This is a real English classic, so let’s preview it in this few paragraphs.
Manchester United had some shaky performances lately, but they are unbeaten in their last four matches in all competitions and won three of them. During the week the Red Devils had one of their most impressive performances for the 2020/21 season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team hosted RB Leipzig in the Champions League and crushed with 5-0 one of the strongest German sides at the moment. Given the fact that Leipzig are the current leaders in the Bundesliga and they reached the Champions League 1/2-finals last season you can see why this is impressive.
Manchester United have two wins from two matches played in the Champions League, but they still can do a lot better in the Premier League. At this moment the Red Devils are 15th in the standings with just 7 points won and this is simply not good enough.
Arsenal also recorded a win during the week. The Gunners faced Dundalk in the Europa League group stage and crushed their opponents with 3-0 at the Emirates. Edward Nketiah, Joseph Willock and Nicolas Pepe scored for the Londoners. It was a good preparation for Arsenal for the next game.
In the Premier League standings Arsenal approach this visit to the Old Trafford from 11th place. Mikel Arteta’s team must improve as quickly as possible because the Gunners lost three of their last four matches in the league.
This is our preview for the Premier League derby fixture between Manchester United and Arsenal at the Old Trafford. It’s always a classic when these two teams face each other at the pitch. We don’t have any doubts this is going to be the case once again on Sunday.
