Tottenham Hotspur – Everton
Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are kicking off their Premier League season on Sunday. These two team will meet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the capital. Let’s take a look.
It’s always an amazing feeling when two top class managers face each other. Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti are arguably two of the best in the business, so this alone is a good reason to watch this game.
Jose Mourinho’s main goal is to improve Tottenham’s performance compared to previous season. The Portuguese tactician arrived to replace the sacked Mauricio Pochettino, so now there are going to be some huge expectations on his shoulders.
On the market Spurs have been active so far. The club activated the buy-out clause of the Argentine international Giovani Lo Celso, while Wolves’ Matt Doherty was signed to strenghten the defense. At the same time Spurs also bought the Danish hard working midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton and signed the former England goalkeeper Joe Hart. These are some good deals.
Everton’s fans are thrilled right now after the arrival of the Colombian star James Rodriguez. The talented midfielder arrives from Real Madrid and this is one of Everton’s most exciting deals in the last 10 or 15 years. James is a true magician on the field, so the fans are expecting a lot from him.
It’s not the only deal Everton did on the market. Ancelotti also signed Napoli’s midfielder Allan and Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure. The 19-years old left back Niels Nkounkou is one for the future – he moved to the Goodison Park from Olympique Marseille.
As you can see both Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti are ready for action in the 2020/21 season. That’s why we believe that’s going to be an incredibly good game between Tottenham and Everton. Which one of these two legendary managers will draw the first blood here?
